The urgent need to combat global warming on the one hand, and to optimize the management of resources (fossil fuels, metals, etc.) on the other, means that we must continue to rethink our mode of development in order to ensure that our production system and our consumption patterns are part of a sustainable framework, enabling the development of everyone, today and tomorrow.
To produce and use better, with less material and energy, we need to work on eco-design, recycling, durability, intercompatibility and interconnectivity of products. It also implies thinking about uses and consumption habits, in particular the economy of use.
